  3. QUICK START
  4. ===========

  6. 1)  type "slip setup"
  7.  
  8. 2)  Press "F4" (Function Key 4) which is 'Modem Setup'.
  9.     You will then get a dialog box which allows you to set up
  10.     your modem.  BAUD RATE and MODEM TYPE are usually
  11.     the only settings you will need to change.
  12.  
  13. 3)  Confirm your Modem settings by clicking on the "OK" button 
  14.     with the mouse or by pressing Alt-K at the keyboard 
  15.     (Hold down the ALT key and press K).
  16.  
  17. 4)  Press "F5" (Function Key 5) which is 'SLIP Setup'.
  18.     You will then get a dialog box.  USERNAME and PASSWORD
  19.     are usually the only settings you will need to change.
  20.  
  21. 5)  Confirm your SLIP settings by clicking on the "OK" button or
  22.     type Alt-K (Hold down the ALT key and press K).
  23.  
  24. 6)  Type Alt-X (Hold down the ALT key and press X) to exit from 
  25.     the Program.
  26.  
  27. 7)  type "slip" for information on how to use SLIP.BAT.  SLIP.BAT
  28.     will let you run various programs that require SLIP access.

  32.    To run Gopher, you would type  "slip gopher"
  33.
